KICKSTARTER is a new way to sponsor creative projects. It allows us to pitch our program to the world and find people interested in supporting what the Warhorse Filmmakers are accomplishing.
For the next six months, I am working completely pro bono to start this program. I am hoping to use KICKSTARTER to help offset the huge costs of launching an education program and making a film.
We have set a goal of $10,000 that we need to reach by Wednesday, April 27th, 2011. If we meet or exceed that goal by the 27th then we receive funding. If we do not reach $10,000 then we get nothing.
Along with the satisfaction of supporting the arts you can also walk away with some great prizes ranging from personalized letters from the students to Warhorse Filmmaker t-shirts to creating the idea for one of our short films.
This program is working to give back to the community of Black Mountain, NC and to mentor ten ambitious high school students. Any support you can give is greatly appreciated. Please pass along the link to our KICKSTARTER to anyone you think would be interested in a program like this.
